Job Summary:

NetFlorist, a leading South African online retailer, is looking for a talented Warehouse Manager to join our team in Midrand, Johannesburg. The Warehouse Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations to ensure efficient and accurate handling of goods. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and a focus on optimising warehouse processes to meet operational objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervision of Warehouse Staff: Hire, train, and schedule warehouse personnel; provide leadership and direction to warehouse team members; foster a culture of teamwork, accountability, and safety; uphold strict levels of discipline amongst warehouse personnel.
  • Warehouse Management: Optimise layout and storage methods to maximise space utilisation and efficiency; ensure accurate and timely receipt, storage, and picking of inventory items; supply 3 hubs/DCs with sufficient stock via interbranch transfers; utilize ERP system knowledge to align physical and systematic stock quantities; ensure accurate identification of stock components and labelling of storage locations; oversee organisation and maintenance of bulk storage and pick face areas consisting of 11000+ SKUs; oversee stock received by suppliers; including receiving, verifying, and storing goods.
  • Inventory Control: Develop and implement inventory control policies and procedures; conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to reconcile physical inventory with system records; resolve any issues or discrepancies related to inventory, orders, or stock received by suppliers; identify discontinued stock and implement wastage control measures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyse inventory data to identify trends and opportunities for the improvement of warehouse systems and procedures with a view of operating a lean and effective warehouse; implement best practices to improve stock accuracy and productivity, resulting in measurable cost savings; collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives..

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field (preferred).
  • 5-7 years of experience in warehouse management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills and ability to manage staff.
  • Proficiency in inventory management systems and ERP software (Sage Evolution is preferred).
  • Ability to analyse data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle most customer queries from the Customer Care department
  • Contact clients to verify addresses if incorrect on the Master Product Availability (MPA) system
  • Communicate with clients regarding substitutions when stock is unavailable
  • Assist in temporary driver recruitment
  • Train all temporary drivers who are recruited
  • Clear the previous day's dashboard in the morning if necessary
  • Strive to achieve hub targets, including dispatch efficiency, error reporting, and minimising temporary driver usage
  • Assist in pulling loads during the day
  • Manage all substitutions in the system
  • Perform Front Desk administrative duties in case of leave or days off by another team member

Job Summary:

We are looking for a proactive self-motivated individual to join our print team. The ideal candidate should work well under pressure, be skilled in managing print materials and have experience with various printing machines and equipment. Under general supervision, the position operates various machines to produce print jobs according to specific instructions as outlined in the request sheet, from start to finish. Responsible for helping maintain the efficient running of the print department by ensuring the print orders are executed according to established timeframes, consumable supplies are amply stocked and machines are properly maintained. Review, prioritise and submit print requests according to complexity and urgency. Ensure that the output is quality checked and accurately meets the instructions as submitted by customers. Using printer software, create artwork batched files for print-on-demand orders. Willingness to work overtime and shifts is an essential prerequisite for the position as and when required.


Main duties & Responsibilities:

  • Operating and maintaining various digital printing machines and branding equipment.
  • Manage machine speed, monitor toner, colour, finish and adjust to maintain quality.
  • Prepare, set up, change over and restart machines with new jobs as required.
  • Prep all artworks into print-ready file formats for Manufacturing. (Artwork Editing)
  • Maintain safety, quality, maintenance, and good manufacturing practices.

Required Knowledge/Skills:

  • Ability to read and interpret general instructions.
  • Basic mathematical skills.
  • You should be familiar with the operations of Machine & Software such as Digital Solvent, Sublimation UV Printers, Plotters, Trotec laser engravers, Heat press & Mug press machines, Adobe Suite programmes Ai, Photoshop, Raster links etc.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and duties within the print department to ensure a high level of productivity and quality.

As an owner-driver operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers' happiness and satisfaction.


Main duties & Responsibilities:

  • Safely and efficiently operate your own vehicle to make timely deliveries of floral arrangements, gifts, and other merchandise to customers.
  • Maintain a professional and friendly demeanour when interacting with customers during the delivery process.
  • Ensure the accurate and secure handling of all packages to guarantee the integrity of our products.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies.
  • Keep records of deliveries, expenses, and vehicle maintenance.
  • Collaborate with our dispatch team to coordinate daily routes and schedules.
