  • The botanical name of lilies is Lilium.
  • There are no fewer than 110 different varieties and species of lilies found across the globe.
  • Brides often choose lilies to add to their bridal bouquets, which represents chastity and purity.

  • Lily of the valley is indigenous to the woodland areas of Europe, North America and Asia.
