Q: Tell us a bit more about yourself.
A: I am from Jozi with some Free State routes as well. I am a creative with a numbers brain. I like things to be neat and organised most of the time. I obtained my Grande Diploma from Silwood School of Cookery in Cape Town at the end of 2003. I have been in the industry for 13 years now.
Q: Tell us about your previous experience?
A: It all started in hotels and restaurants in Cape Town. I then returned to Johannesburg and worked at Yum restaurant under the guidance of Dario De Angeli who now owns Cube Tasting Kitchen. From there I travelled to the UK and worked as the pastry chef at Smiths of Smithfield which was owned by John Torode and Nick Mason of Pink Floyd. After that I was off to Dubai to work for a high profile British family of 5. Back in Johannesburg I joined Edward Nathan Sonnenbergs to head up the pastry kitchen in their exclusive restaurant. I joined Pick ‘n Pay three years later as the Fresh Foods Specialist for their two flagship stores in Johannesburg. And that is where NetFlorist came along four years later.
