Kloofing – The Ultimate African Mountain experience in the foothills of the Drakensberg Mountains. Get right into the heart of the Drakensberg and explore one of the many Kloofs scattered across the largest mountain range in Southern Africa. This day out includes Abseiling, hiking, bouldering, wildlife, spectacular views, and a whole lot of fun!

We begin with a hike to the top of the Kloof, and then start our 200m descent back down into Kong canyon itself. The abseils range from 5m to 25m, down several trickling waterfalls inside this spectacular Kloof in the Injusuti Valley. Some of the descents are next to the waterfalls, some within the falls themselves, stopping in between to admire the view along the way. Participants will have time to cool off in the river and enjoy some interesting bouldering sections.

General Information

• A minimum of 4 people are required and children from the age of 8yrs old may take part
• The trip starts at 9am and finishes approximately 330-5pm
• The trip includes lunch, refreshments and transport between the Canyon and our base.
• Please inform us in advance of any specific dietary requirements e.g. halaal and vegetarians
• You need to bring: Suntan lotion, a cap and wear comfortable clothing and trainers/hiking shoes
• A safety talk will be given before the trip. All safety equipment will be supplied by us
• Experienced guides will assist the group at all times
• We carry a medical aid kit and cell phone at all times
• Cancellations within 48 hours of the booked experience will be charged for in full or can be moved to another available date
